Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS brings the creativity of the Wii U original to handheld play, allowing players to build, customize, and share their own Mario platforming levels. Using touchscreen controls, players can place blocks, enemies, power-ups, pipes, platforms, and more to create stages inspired by classic Mario styles, including Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, and New Super Mario Bros. U.
The 3DS version features 100 built-in courses in Super Mario Challenge mode, along with medal objectives that add replay value. Players can also download recommended courses from the online collection and share their own levels locally via StreetPass or wireless play. While this version does not support uploading stages online, it offers a huge library of premade levels, creative tools, and a portable way to build and play Mario courses anywhere.
