The Neo Geo Advanced Entertainment System (AES) was a 24-bit luxury console released in the North American region on August 22, 1990, in the fourth generation of video game consoles. It retailed for $649.99 USD (equivalent to $1,293 in 2021). The AES had identical hardware to the Neo Geo MVS Arcade, allowing console gamers to play the games exactly as they were in the arcades but with new modes and features.
