Play music and bash baddies in Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi: The Genie and the Amp for the Nintendo DS. In this "rock & roll brawler," players will go on a world tour and use the power of music to defeat enemies and win popularity points. The main weapon is a guitar, and gamers "play" the instrument by controlling it exclusively with the touch screen. By manipulating the strings with the stylus, players can watch the resulting action on the top screen. Battle crazed fans and talent-sucking beasts to earn high scores, and open up guitar upgrades for more advanced combos. A "WiFi cooperative" mode lets a second player in on the music making action. Mini-games include making sushi and getting the girls dressed in the latest fashions. Japanese pop duo Puffy Ami Yumi made their way into animated television in 2004 with the show Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi on Cartoon Network.
