GameShark Pro is a handheld cheat device that plugs into the Game Boy Color (and also works with Game Boy Pocket and original Game Boy systems). It allows users to enter or activate cheat codes that modify gameplay — such as infinite lives, max stats, rare items, unlocking hidden secrets, or skipping difficult parts of many compatible games. The Pro version improves on earlier GameShark units by holding codes in memory and offering an easier interface for browsing and selecting cheats. It was a popular tool in the late ’90s and early 2000s for exploring games in new ways before emulators and modern cheat systems became widespread.
