ITEM DESCRIPTION
The Super Game Boy is an official Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) add-on that allows you to play Game Boy cartridges (original GB) on a television through the SNES console. When inserted into the SNES cartridge slot, the Super Game Boy pak boots into a menu where you can select a Game Boy game to play — and it uses the SNES video hardware to display the game on your TV screen.
It also unlocks enhanced presentation features for select Game Boy titles: custom color palettes, themed borders, and enhanced sound effects that take advantage of the SNES’s color display and audio capabilities. Some games even included special Super Game Boy modes with extra colors or music when played through the accessory.
