ITEM DESCRIPTION

Are you tired of the lag, blurriness and washed colors you see when trying to play your Retro video game consoles on new modern LCD, LED, 4K, 8K HDTVs? Unlock the true potential of your favorite Retro games with the legendary Framemeister XRGB-mini made by Micomsoft in Japan. Most of your old retro consoles like the Nintendo 64, Sega Saturn, PlayStation 1, Neo Geo AES, and older all output a resolution at 240p. The Playstation 2, Sega Dreamcast, and Nintendo GameCube outputs 480i to 480p. So, with modern HDTVs that output 1080p and above, the picture gets stretched up to 4x more than it was designed for which causes the blurriness. These consoles were also designed on older CRT TVs which had scanlines to help sharpen the image which contributes to that blurriness. The Framemeister simply multiplies the lines to upscale to 1080p and has scanline simulation to correct that unwanted bluriness. Another significant feature that was lacking in the US is the use of RGB video using a SCART connection in the Euro region, or the JP-21 connection used in Japan. RGB video provides a much cleaner image and wider range of colors which gives you a superior image compared to the older composite (yellow, red, and white) connection that we were used to here in the US.

If you are a true Retro gamer and want to play these games at the best quality possible, look no further. The Micomsoft Framemeister is one of the original and still one of the best upscalers you can buy today. Unique to the Framemeister is an HDMI bypass for your newer consoles and HDMI connections while still being able to use Framemeisters customizations to allow for your preferred style of video. The Framemeister competitors are simply AV Composite to HDMI connectors with little to no change in quality or line doublers at best, while the Framemeister XRGB-mini is a true upscaler.

NOTE: Micomsoft has discontinued production of the Framemeister XRGB-mini due to the main internal chip no longer being supplied. So don't wait too long to get your unit brand new as stock is running low. Once they run out of stock, you'll be forced to get a pre-owned unit.

NOTE: Due to the shortage of brand-new units, we test all units to confirm proper operation and set the language to English for your convenience.

NOTE: Besides the PSU and Euro SCART adapter, all other connections to your consoles and TV are not included. We highly recommend Retro-Access.com for all of your RGB cables.

NOTE: It is normal for a few seconds in delay when switching resolutions which may happen during some games that use 2 different resolutions for gameplay and menu, otherwise the Framemeister delivers little to no lag.
